Karma Yoga Benefit - "Small Tick, Big Problem" with Sarah Bazakos

Event hosted by the partnership of Heat Yoga and Power of Two. Join us for a free one-hour group yoga practice (non-heated), all levels welcome. Voluntary donation up to $20 per person; ALL proceeds go to Randi Deal Einzig Fund. Randi has been fighting Lyme Disease for over 13 years. She has seen over 50 doctors, currently takes 50 pills per day along with daily IV treatments, and has accrued $180,000 in medical bills. At one point this former high school and collegiate gymnast spent 3-months in a wheel chair. As a mother of 3 young children and a working Clinical Therapist, Randi struggles daily to manage her pain and exhaustion. She needs our yogi support and energy to continue making progress with her treatment plan. Her goal is to be well enough to dedicate her practice to counseling other Lyme patients. Come help with yoga postures and connect with your yoga community through a random act of kindness. Meditation with Kristin Cromie

While most people agree that meditation is paramount to maintaining a healthy outlook and calm mind, nearly all find reasons to avoid it. Do any of these sound familiar? -My mind wanders -I can’t turn off the chatter -I tend to fall asleep -It’s hard to find the time -My legs/back/hips hurt -I don’t know if I’m doing it correctly Details: Meditation sessions are completely food donation-based. Please feel free to bring a non-perishable item for the local food shelf. The session will include progressive muscle relaxation, a short teacher-lead guided intention, followed by 30 minutes of silent meditation, and a short closing. The entire session will last about 45-50 minutes. The studio will be candle-lit, warm and silent. Students are encouraged to bring seating (mat, pillow, cushion or chair) and wear comfortable clothing. Each 2nd Sunday at 7PM Fee: Food Donation
